I even make sure that there is food available for purchase so the bidders won't leave the auction site to forage for food.. It's hard work setting these things up and you need to know how to plan ahead and be able to solve problems. I like to be able to have access to the house and the merchandise at least a week before the auction. Auctions can be a powerful tool to use for estate liquidations. I can usually sell everything in the house and be able to fit the trash into a roll off dumpster when it's all over. If the stuff is good the crowd can kind of get worked up into a frenzy and there's no telling what could happen. When some dumb little thing sells for a bunch of money that you weren't expecting that's pretty cool, set prices and tag sales can hold you back sometimes when you have two rival bidders and their ego's that are willing to pay or if you don't have it priced right. Auctions are social events and can be very entertaining. There is always the draw back that auctions can be unpredictable and sometimes things can sell pretty cheap but it all comes out in the wash because most of it is sold. Good stuff brings good money. We have enough sense to put minimum reserve bids on important pieces and we simply don't sell stuff if we feel that it's going for to cheap. I'll protect your best interest and get the job done.
